VietNamNet Bridge – Badminton player Nguyen Tien Minh’s 2-0 victory over World No.20 Gurusaiddutt from Awadhe Warriors has helped his Pune Pistons club advance to the semi-final round of India’s first badminton league (IBL).

The August 26 was totally dominated by Minh who easily won 21/12 in the first set after only 14 minutes and 21-18 in the second one.

In the mixed doubles event, Minh’s teammates Joachim Fischer/Nielsen Ashwini Ponnappa also beat their Markis Kido/Pia Bernadeth rivals.

However, Pune Pistons club could not maintain its advantage and was beaten in the women’s singles, doubles and men’s doubles events.

With its additional two points win the club is second only to Awadhe Warriors.
