According to Suc Khoe & Doi Song (Health and Life), the official organ of the Ministry of Health, Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Kim Tien has officially launched her fanpage at https://www .facebook.com/botruongboyte.vn to connect with people, as Facebook has become popular in Vietnam.

The newspaper said this was only Facebook page of the Minister of Health.

It added that the message of the fanpage is "Listening and understanding". Minister Tien directly manages and operates the page.

The newspaper said there are many fake fanpages of the Ministry of Health and the Minister of Health. The announcement of the official Facebook page of Minister Tien is “to ensure the interests" of the readers.

On January 30, at the monthly press conference of the Government, Health Minister Tien said she would listen to public opinions through social media. She said that receiving information on Facebook had helped the Ministry of Health detect many mistakes of health workers.
