VietNamNet Bridge – Minister of Transport Dinh La Thang has ordered all the ministry's units to ensure traffic safety during the upcoming New Year holidays, beginning in the last week of January.

Under the direction, public transport companies would be obligated to add extra vehicles to accommodate the travel demands of passengers during the holidays.

Authorised agencies would be required to inspect additional vehicles to ensure their quality. Police would co-operate with traffic auditors to strictly deal with violations of traffic regulations, minimising traffic congestion nation-wide.
