The Miss Global pageant was first held back in 2013. It is the pageant with the widest age range in the world, with entrants from 18 to 35 years old.
This year marks the 10th edition of the beauty contest, with the occasion drawing the participation of 83 contestants worldwide.
Doan Thu Thuy, 28, (R) hailing from the northern province of Phu Tho is crowned 2022 Miss Fitness Vietnam and represents Vietnam at Miss Global 2023.
The main activities of the pageant get underway in Vietnam, with its semi-final night scheduled to take place on January 13 in Phu Quoc. Moving forward, the grand final will get underway on January 18 in Cambodia.
Vietnamese representative Nguyen Thi My Duyen finished in the Top 11 back in Miss Global 2019. Last year saw local beauty Doan Thi Hong Trang fail to win any prizes during the pageant.
