VietNamNet Bridge - The winner of the Miss Sports 2012 pageant will represent Vietnam at the Miss Supranational 2012, which will take place in Poland this August.

Former model Thuy Hanh, manager of Elite Vietnam, made the announcement at a meeting with contestants of the Miss Sports 2012 pageant in HCM City last week.

The Vietnamese representative will be defined at the final night of the Miss Sports 2012 in Da nang city on August 5.

The final round of Miss Sports 2012 will take place at the Ba Na Hill Resort in Da Nang on August 5, in which 35 young girls selected from 200 contestants from across the country will take part.
 
The 35 beauties will showcase their talent by performing sports related exercises such as aerobics, martial arts, belly dancing, yoga and silk dances and compete in rounds of evening gown, swimsuit, sportswear, and a Q&A session.

The winning beauty queen will receive a cash prize of VND550 million (US$26,000). The organizers will also award titles in other categories such as Miss Perfect Skin, Miss Fashion, Miss Perfect Body and Miss Talent.

Launched in 1993, the beauty contest returns after a five-year break.

Miss Supranational is an annual international beauty contest run by the World Beauty Association.

The contest was founded in 2009 by World Beauty Association in Płock, Poland. The current Miss Supranational is Monika Lewczuk, from Poland. She won the title on August 26, 2011.
