VietNamNet Bridge – The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has given its approval for organizing the next edition of Miss Universe Vietnam 2017 contest, which is expected to take place from January 1 to August 19 and the coronation night will be held at Diamond Bay City in Nha Trang City in the central coast province of Khanh Hoa.

Miss Universe Vietnam in 2015 was Pham Thi Huong (also known as Pham Huong) who has had contributions to local charity and entertainment activities during the past time.

“Miss Universe Vietnam 2017 aims to honor a sexy yet strong beauty queen who can inspire and influence the community. This command is expected to make a difference and attraction to the contest,” said Tran Ngoc Nhat, deputy general director of Unicorp, the contest’s host.

Miss Universe was first held in the U.S. in 1952 and was internally organized among the country’s states until 1971. This is one of the world’s most prestigious beauty contests, including Miss World, Miss International and Miss Earth. Miss Universe contest has annually lured contestants from over 100 countries and territories and over one billion viewers.

From 1996 to 2014, the contest was managed by a joint venture by Donald J.Trump, the 45th President of the America. Currently, the contest is managed by WME/IMG, one of the leading media, marketing, and model companies in the world. With a slogan of “Confidently Beautiful,” WME/IMG expects that Miss Universe would have confidence, courage and influence to help change the community and honor the perfect beauty.
