On the same day, Vietnam’s Nguyen Phuong Khanh was named Miss Earth 2018, making her the first Vietnamese woman to win the prize since the pageant began in 2001.

On the final night of Mrs International, the contestants competed in three rounds – national costumes, evening gowns and self-selected clothes. After that, the organising board announced and presented awards for the sub-contests that were held two days earlier, including swimsuit and presentation competitions.

Getting through the sub-contests, Loan entered the top 5+1 and competed in the Q&A section. Her confidence and answers about humanity persuaded the jury, who announced her name as the winner of the beauty pageant.

On top of this highest prize, the 32-year-old has also been the winner in two sub-contests – Mrs Tourism Ambassador and Body Beautiful.

“I feel really happy. My efforts have finally paid off,” Loan wrote on her Facebook after winning Mrs International 2018.

The runners-up were Mrs Swiss and Nepal, while the representative of the host won the sub-title Mrs Asean.

Born in 1986 in HCM City, Loan won the Impressive Face title in Miss Vietnam Tourism 2008 and the runner-up position in Mrs World Noble Queen Int’l 2017.
