Meeting in Ha Noi on Monday, the two sides said that the decision was made to give young players opportunities to get international experience and prepare for the important ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Cup in 2016.
Miura, who failed to push Viet Nam to the final of this year's AFF Cup, was not given any achievement target. His top priority is to focus on building a stable team with sharpened skills and competitiveness.
Miura has been given a free hand to select players and assistants for his national and U23 teams. He can refer to a list of 30 names of the best players that will be provided by the VFF.
The 51-year-old will start his search at the V-League which will kick off next month.
The Japanese coach, on his part, asked the VFF and the Viet Nam Professional Football Company to finalise a suitable domestic competition schedule so that it will not affect his plans to summon players to his teams.
The first task of the U23 team will be to participate in the Southeast Asian Games in Singapore next June.
They will be called for training in May.
The national team will compete in several friendly matches.
Later, they will take part in an international tournament, organised by the ministry of culture, sports and tourism next September.
