VietNamNet Bridge – Ngoc Thach’s Gold Prize at the Vietnam Super Model 2010 competition is not enough for her to representative Vietnam at the Miss Earth 2011 pageant.

Vietnam to send its representative to Miss Earth 2011

Model Ngoc Thach.
The Department of Performing Arts has rejected Ngoc Thach’s request for a permit to join the Miss Earth 2011 competition in Thailand this December, saying that she has not won an official title from any nationally-recognized pageant, a requirement to be chosen for international competitions.

Previously, she was invited by the Thanh Nien Corp to join Miss Earth 2011.

Truong Thi May.
Ngoc Thach confirmed the information, saying that she was sad but she would try her best to have other chances.

20-year-old Ngoc Thach comes from the Mekong Delta Province of Hau Giang and is currently studying at Hong Bang University. With an outstanding performing style and a height of 1.75m, Ngoc Thach has taken part in many local catwalks.

Last year she entered the top ten of the Miss Model of the World and won the Best in Evening Gown title.

The Thanh Nien Corp said that it is considering Truong Thi May as the Vietnamese representative at the Miss Earth 2011. May was the second runner-up at the Miss Vietnam Ethnics 2007. She was nominated for the Miss Earth 2009 but she had to give up because of an accident.
