The festival will open with theme of "Phố Hàng Nhạc" (Hang Nhac Street) which draws inspiration from the names of 36 streets around Hanoi.
The music event is set to draw the participation of more than 40 local and international artists and bands, featuring more than 70 performances.
Most notably, the opening ceremony will be held at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square on October 14, with Thang Long imperial citadel poised to host the closing ceremony on October 22.
The festival will take place across various venues throughout the capital, including Hoan Kiem Lake Pedestrian Street, Hanoi Old Quarter Cultural Exchange Center at No. 50 Dao Duy Tu, Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, and others.
At each of these night performances from October 15 to October 21, Hanoi's music lovers will be able to enjoy the festive atmosphere with plenty of exciting songs and dances performed by both domestic and foreign artists.
Monsoon Music Festival was held annually between 2014 and 2019, attracting more than 225,000 festival goers throughout its run. Many famous international bands participated in the event such as Scorpion of Germany, Lost Frequencies of Belgium, Hyukoh of the Republic of Korea, and Dominic Miller of the UK.
The event has been canceled for the past three years due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and will resume this year.
