The international Monsoon Music Festival 2016 themed “I participate- I act- I change- I share”  opened at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel in Hanoi from October 21-23.

The most famous German rock band in world's stage, Scorpions performed in Hanoi.

The festival attracted the participation of nearly 200 many local and international artists and bands , including My Linh, Tung Duong, SaveUs  from Denmark, Last Train of France, Rukhsana Merrise of the UK, Kite of Sweden, DJ Julien Sato and VJ 100LDK of Japan, GoodLuck from South Africa, IDIOTAPE of Korea, DJ Brezel Goring of Germany and more.

The young Vietnamese band, PB Nation will be chosen for this year’s Lucky Duck perfromance.

The music show continues to promote the music spirit and aesthetic orientation of the audience. It is expected to immerse music lovers in professional world-classed performances in Pop, Rock, Jazz, World, EDM, Soul, R&B.

One of the highlights is the appearance of the most famous German rock band in world's stage, Scorpions on October 23.

The performance is part of the band’s 50th anniversary World Tour.

The band is described as Continental Europe's most successful rock band formed in 1965 in Hannover, Germany. The group ncludes Klaus Meine (vocals), Rudolf Schenker (rhythm guitar), Matthias Jabs (lead guitar), Francis Buchholz(bass guitar), and Herman Rarebell (drums).

They have released even 27 compilation albums, 74 singles and 18 studio albums of which the best-selling is “Crazy World” which also includes their most popular song “Wind of Change” Other hits performed by them are also: “Still Loving”, “Send Me An Angel”, “No One Like You”, “Maybe I, Maybe You” and many others. "Still Loving You" ranked 22nd place among the greatest ballads. Globally, Scorpions have sold more than 100 million copies of their albums with more than 5,000 concerts in 80 countries.

Scorpions are celebrating a half-century of rock with the release of their 19th studio album, “Return to Forever”, and a global 50th anniversary tour.

The annual Monsoon Music Festival was held for the first time in 2014 and received major public appraise.
