VietNamNet Bridge – With investment of US$17 million, Son Trang Tien Canh cemetery in Hoa Thanh district in the southern province of Tay Ninh, is the most modern cemetery-park in Vietnam.

The construction of the cemetery, around 100km from HCM City, began in July 2009. It will be inaugurated on August 27.

With beautiful landscapes and located near mountains, the cemetery makes visitors feel comfortable.

Dozens of gilded Buddha statues stand along the major path inside the cemetery, creating a peaceful atmosphere.

Tombs are designed in the same style and granite-paved. Inner roads are brick paved, with trees and flowers grown along. The cemetery also has gardens of bonsai, ornamental trees and rock-gardens.

The cemetery covers 74 hectares. At this moment, only 14 hectares are used. Depending on the demand, the cemetery will be expanded in the future. Each tomb is provided with 1.2, 1.5 or 7sq.m, priced from VND53 ($2,500) to VND558 million ($27,200) per plot.

Nguyen Thuy Trang, representative of the cemetery investor, said that to protect the environment, incense and votive papers are not allowed to burn at the cemetery.

The cemetery also has a concentrated water treatment system. All used water will be treated before discharging into the environment.
