VietNamNet Bridge – The Viet Nam Automobile Transportation Association and the Ha Noi Transport Association have proposed the Ministry of Transport (MoT) to fine its deputy chief inspector Thach Nhu Sy.

The associations said that Sy had submitted false inspection results and displayed an unreasonable attitude.
Specifically, Sy led an inspection at the Can Tho Port and Ferry Joint Stock Company in July this year.
The results of the inspection were sent to the MoT highlighting violations the company had made, including breaking port regulations and overcharging for parking.
The delegation also inspected the transport enterprise Thanh Buoi Co Ltd in HCM City and said the company had set up illegal stations to evade taxes worth billions of dong.
The Viet Nam Automobile Transportation Association (VATA) and the Ha Noi Transport Association said the conclusion was inaccurate, affecting the company's reputation and causing losses.
Nguyen Van Thanh, chairman of the VATA, told the VnMedia e-newspaper that the association had received a request from Le Tan Hoc, former director of the Can Tho Department of Transport, to punish Sy for his bad attitude.
Deputy Minister of Transport Le Dinh Tho also signed a document saying that the Thanh Buoi Company's stations were not against transport regulations.
Nguyen Ba Thuyen, National Assembly deputy of the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong, asked the MoT to reassess the report and conduct a new inspection if necessary.
Deputy Minister of Transport Nguyen Ngoc Dong said the inspection delegation led by Sy had uncovered some violations at the Thanh Buoi Co Ltd, but the company did not agree with the inspectors' conclusion and had some queries.
The MoT has assigned another team lead by Chief Inspector Le Thanh Ha to re-check the company and others in HCM City, Lam Dong and the southern provinces of Long An and Tien Giang.
Admitting that Sy's inspection delegation had not fulfilled its tasks and had been unprofessional, Dong said the MoT conclude its investigation this month and punish the team appropriately.
