VietNamNet Bridge – After using an electronic whip to rob a scooter, the robber sped along the street. Traffic police stopped him for breaking traffic rules and discovered nearly $150,000 in his boot.





On November 1, the police of Binh Tan District, HCM City arrested Nguyen Ngoc Anh, 19, from Khanh Hoa province, to investigate the acts of robbery.

According to investigators, on October 30, Mr. Thanh, 50, put $147,000 in the trunk of his Attila motorbike and drove it to his home in Binh Tri Dong Ward, Binh Tan District. On the way home, he was attacked by a group of five young men, who used electric whips. Thanh fell to the ground. The gangsters robbed his motorcycle.

The same day, at an intersection in Binh Tri Dong Ward, Binh Tan District, two traffic police officers detected a young man riding a scooter without wearing helmet. They stopped the man for checking. The man sped up to run away but he was chased by the policemen. He threw the motorbike to run but he was seized.

The traffic policemen handed over the man to the police of Binh Tri Dong Ward. The man declared himself as Nguyen Ngoc Anh. Checking the trunk, police found $147,000.

Ngoc Anh confessed that he and his group robbed the vehicle from a man.

Binh Tan District police are hunting for the involved people.
