Costa Rica. She said that before heading to Ho Chi Minh City, she had
unforgettable time in Hanoi. Dr. Kim Hong introduced her to the culture,
the beauty of the capital city as well as the spring atmosphere in
Vietnam. "This is the first time I come to your country and everything
is wonderful. I wish I could go back many more times to have more time
to experience the life here!" she said.
Mrs. America 2011 Lara Leimana Fonoimoana said she was very impressed
with the exciting atmosphere in the street of Vietnam. "I would like to
thank Ms. Kim Hong and the Mrs. World pageant for giving me a great trip
like this. If this beauty contest comes back to Vietnam, I hope I can
partly contribute in by introducing your country to the people of
Hawaii, my hometown. Whenever Kim Hong needs my help, I would be willing
to," Fonoimoana said.
Mrs. America 2012 Sarber Vicki Lee said they were practicing a special
item to perform in the award ceremony. They will also sing a Vietnamese
folk song "Cay Truc Xinh" to express their love to Vietnam.
Denigris Diane Mary Jean – Mrs. World 2007 – has beent to Vietnam for
four times. Each trip to Vietnam left unforgettable memories about
hospitality, enthusiasm and openness of the Vietnamese people.
Mrs. World 2011 Moore Lufriu April Sandra (left) was very eager to know
that after Hanoi, the group would have time to explore the cultural and
historical attractions in Ho Chi Minh City.
Sandra said that she saw Dr. Doan Kim Hong as her elder sister. "Ms. Kim
Hong is a very special woman and I've learned a lot from her," she
said. That sentiment has urged Sandra to arrange her time to go to
Vietnam to attend the award ceremony to Dr. Kim Hong.
Mr. David Marmel, President of the Mrs. World Organization, said the
title "First Mrs. World" is awarded to Dr. Kim Hong based on her success
in career, her happy personal life and her contribution to the
community. "The Mrs. America and Mrs. World organizations agreed that it
is hard to find a special woman as Kim Hong", Marmel asserted. Kim Hong
said, according to the original plan, her title will be awarded in the
United States. However, on the occasion of her birthday on February 6 as
well as the 15th anniversary of her company, she persuaded the
organizers to go to Vietnam to perform this ceremony.
At the age of 80, the mother of Dr. Kim Hong (left) always works closely
with her daughter in charity activities. She had a few words to thank
the enthusiastic affection of the American beauties for Vietnam. She
also offered New Year wishes to them according to Vietnamese custom.
After many trips with the Mrs. World organization to survey several
locations in Vietnam like Quang Nam, Da Nang, Tien Giang, Ho Chi Minh
City, Hanoi and Vung Tau, Mrs. Kim Hong (right) expressed her desire to
host the Mrs. World 2014 or 2015.
