Muangthong United to face Binh Duong in friendly match

Thailand Premier League's runner-up, SCG Muangthong United, will meet V.League 1 defending champions Binh Duong on January 23 during their ASEAN Tour 2016 at HCM City's Thong Nhat Stadium.

The Thai club's star players include striker Teerasil Dangda, midfielder Sarach Yooen, defender Thitipan Puangchan and goal keeper Kawin Thamsatchanan.

"This is very meaningful match to strengthen the relationship between Binh Duong and Muangthong United as well as the friendly relation between Viet Nam and Thailand," said chairman of Binh Duong, Nguyen The Huan.

Thanh signs two-year contract with Thanh Hoa

Midfielder Mai Tien Thanh has left V.League 1 defending champions Becamex Binh Duong to sign a two-year contract with Thanh Hoa.

The transfer fee hasn't been revealed.

The 28-year-old Thanh first played for Thanh Hoa in 2003, then represented Ninh Binh from 2006 to 2013. He moved back to Thanh Hoa in late 2013 and moved to Binh Duong in 2014.

"Thanh's experience and skills will be an important addition for Thanh Hoa," said coach Hoang Thanh Tung.
