Miss Vietnam 2016 Do My Linh has been selected to represent Vietnam at the upcoming Miss World 2017 in China, according to a post on the Missosology website. At the same time, Le Thi Ha Thu has been designated to represent Vietnam at the Miss Earth 2017 in the Philippines, according to Helios Organization that holds the right to send Vietnamese contestants to the beauty pageant.

In related news, Miss Earth 2016 top eight finisher Nam Em has been appointed the Vietnam national director for Miss Earth 2017.

In her newly appointed position, Nam Em will now have the responsibility to locate the next representative for Vietnam at the Philippine based pageant.

In an interview with the media, Nam Em said she is excited with her selection for the position and looks forward to the challenge of helping the country find a qualified candidate for the competition.

Do My Linh, 21, is a student at the Hanoi Foreign Trade University. Ha Thu is the first runner-up of Miss Ocean 2014 and among top 14 of Miss Intercontinental 2015. Ha Thu often appears at showbiz and fashion shows. She has also actively taken part in a host of charitable activities. Nam Em
