VietNamNet Bridge – The National Assembly Standing Committee will convene for its 37th session in Ha Noi today, Jan 4, with the Law on Independent Auditing and Maritime Law on the agenda.
On the first day of the session, deputies will review the implementation of the committee's plan to implement Politburo Resolution No 48 on the strategy to develop and perfect the country's legal system by 2010 with a vision towards 2020.
In terms of legislation, the committee will discuss amendments to the laws on independent auditing, data encryption, the capital city and maritime affairs.
The committee will also consider and adopt the resolution to announce the date for national polls and establish the election council for the 13th National Assembly and for the People's Councils at all levels of the 2011-16 term.
Other important issues will also be mentioned at the session, including preparations for the 9th session of the 12th NA and the implementation of the co-ordination regulation between the NA Standing Committee and the Presidium of the Fatherland Front Central Committee in 2010.
The committee will also comment on the Government bond capital allocation plan in 2011 and criteria and plan to allocate capital for the 2011 national target programme.
The meeting is scheduled to wrap up on Friday, January 7.
