VietNamNet Bridge – In order to provide sufficient information to the people so they can contribute opinions for the amendment of the 1992 Constitution, at the upcoming 4th session of the 13th National Assembly, the discussion on this issue will be aired live on the radio Voice of Vietnam (VOV) and the Vietnam Television (VTV).




At the upcoming 13th National Assembly session, the discussion on the Regulation of the vote of confidence, amendment to the Constitution and the amended Anti-Corruption Law, amended Land Law will be broadcasted live.

National Assembly Vice Chairman Uong Chu Luu said increasing live television broadcasting time of critical contents is an effective channel to help people understand the issues, contributing to monitoring activities such as vote of confidence and anti-corruption.

At the same time, the amendment to the 1992 Constitution will consult the people, so if the content is broadcasted live it will help people to get more information.

Chairman of the National Assembly’s Ethnic Council Ksor Phuoc suggested that the government should further report to the Congress on the hot issues, the emerging stories of the country, which are people’s concerns, such as difficult economic situation or quakes at the Song Tranh 2 Hydroelectric Plant, etc.

He said that the NA should spend more time discussing important resolutions for the country, the people that affect the credibility, the role of the Party like the vote of confidence.

Chairman of the NA’s Judiciary Committee Nguyen Van Hien proposed to do like Western countries do: dividing the hall in two in the plenary discussions to ensure discussion in depth. At present, nearly 500 NA deputies attend discussion, but only ten or fifteen of them can speak.

Taking place for one month, from October 22 to November 23, the fourth session of the 13th National Assembly will focus on important issues such as the amendment to the Constitution, modifying the Land Law, tariff law, Anti-corruption Law, etc.

The National Assembly schedules to pass 10 bills, such as the amended Anti-Corruption Law, the Law on Lawyers, Electricity Law, etc. The NA will also discuss 10 other bills: the Land Law, Law on Science and Technology, Law on Public Procurement, etc.

Official program of the meeting will be adopted at the preparatory meeting of the National Assembly.
