"Preparation for the forthcoming session should be started from this moment to ensure the session's quality and success," stressed Hung.

The sixth session is scheduled to begin on October 21 and end on November 26. During the 30-days in session, deputies would spend around 20 days discussing matters related to law building, especially the draft of the revised 1992 Constitution, the revised Land Law and a number of other important bills.

Deputies will also spend nine days to discuss the country's important socio-economic issues and evaluate results of question and answer session at the second to fifth session.

The NA Chairman asked relevant authorities to continue to collect people's suggestion and deputies' opinions for perfecting and submitting the draft of the revised 1992 Constitution and the revised land law to the NA for discussion and approval at the forthcoming session.

Discussing the next session's preparation, the Standing Committee agreed that deputies should spend more time discussing the two important law projects from the beginning of the next session in order to ensure time for perfecting and approving the projects as scheduled.

Deputies also asked the Government to report results of the country's socio-economic development programmes and directions to 2015 and implementation of 16 national target programmes during the past three years.

Deputies yesterday also discussed the revised ordinance on amendments to some articles of the ordinance on management and use of weapons, explosives and support tools. They also discussed and passed projects on National Assembly reforms in an effort to improve its working results.

During the three-day session, the NA Standing Committee's members will also discuss bills on bidding, fire fighting and prevention, thrift practice and wastefulness prevention. The ordinance on management and use of weapons, explosives and support tools is scheduled to be adopted by the end of the session.
