VietNamNet Bridge – In the July session, which opens today, July 16, the National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee will discuss the plan to establish the fishery management force.

The petition on the establishment of the fishery management force will be presented by Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Cao Duc Phat.

According to the ministry, the fishery management force is needed to ensure the enforcement of laws on aquatic resources in Vietnam’s 1 million square kilometers of Vietnam.

Such a force will combine with other forces in the sea to guide and assist Vietnamese fishermen in difficult situations, especially natural calamities. The force will also help settle conflicts in the sea.

This issue and the State Audit of Vietnam (SAV) Agency’s personnel tasks will be considered in a private meeting.

The July session will take place in only two days, July 16-17. Deputies will review the results of the third NA session and discuss the preparation plan for the fourth session.

The NA Standing Committee will also approve some amended ordinances and vote on the plan to establish Ba Ria city of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province.
