During its nine days of sitting, the NASC will comment on the contents in preparation for the seventh session of the 14th National Assembly, while considering and deciding on other contents within its jurisdiction.

Regarding the law building work, NASC members will discuss nine draft laws, NA Chairwoman Ngan said, adding that the NASC will also comment on the NA’s drafted law and ordinance building programme, as well as the drafted supervision programmes of the NA and the NASC for 2020 and the preparation for the seventh session of the 14th National Assembly.

In addition, the NASC will consider and decide on the list of projects using the reserve fund of the medium-term public investment plan for the 2016-2020 period from the central budget, the supplementation of new categories to the 2016-2020 medium-term public investment plan, the adjustment of administrative boundaries of five communes and the dissolution of one commune in Dong Nai province’s Long Thanh district, plus the establishment of five wards under Long Khanh town and the formation of Long Khanh city in Dong Nai.

For the draft revised Labour Code, the senior legislator requested that, immediately after hearing the opinions of the NASC concerning this issue, the compiling agency promptly implement the building of the dossier of the draft revised Labour Code, which should show Vietnam’s standpoints concerning the contents of the conventions of the International Labour Organisation (ILO), as well as demonstrate humanity and progress in ILO conventions.

After the opening session, under the chair of NA Vice Chairman Uong Chu Luu, NASC members commented on the NA’s drafted law and ordinance building programme for 2020.
