In the first 6 months of 2023, the Department of Health of Nam Dinh province directed related units to strengthen the prevention of dangerous epidemics, especially acute respiratory infections caused by Covid-19, and prevention of non-communicable diseases, organize the effective implementation of health and population tasks, improve the quality of medical examination and treatment at all levels, manage and use drugs in accordance with regulations.
Disease prevention and control is implemented strongly and synchronously from the provincial level to the grassroots level. Currently, the Covid-19 epidemic situation in the province has basically been controlled. By the end of May 18, 2023, Nam Dinh province recorded 1,643 new cases and 05 deaths.
In the first 6 months of 2023, the province recorded 21 cases, suspected of dengue fever, and 218 cases of hand, foot and mouth disease. Non-communicable disease prevention activities are also promoted.
Regarding medical examination and treatment: The quality of medical examination and treatment at all levels has gradually been improved. The spirit and service attitude of medical staff have changed, bringing satisfaction to patients. Medical stations have gradually operated according to the principles of family medicine.
In the first 6 months of the year, the Provincial General Hospital provided inpatient treatment to 15,412 patients, reaching 84% of the plan for the first 6 months of the year; The Provincial Mental Hospital examined 1,074 patients; Truc Ninh District Medical Center examined 49,940 patients and 13,450 preventive examinations.
Other health activities such as health education and communication, HIV/AIDS prevention, population - family planning, reproductive health care, malnutrition prevention, pharmaceutical and cosmetic testing, medical examination, management of private medical and pharmaceutical practices, implementation of Project 06 on "Development of application of population data, electronic identification and authentication to serve national digital transformation in the period of 2022 -2025, by 2030" in the province... continues to be implemented synchronously by the Health Sector.
