Nam wins first match at Asian championships

Nam, seeded number one in the championships being held in New Delhi, beat Goveas 6-2, 7-6 (6) within an hour in the boys' singles event.

The number one duo of Nam and Alberto Lim of the Philippines will face Indian players Adil Kalyanpur and Anurag Nenwani, who are the wildcard holders.

Nam into second round at ITF

Viet Nam's Ly Hoang Nam and Filipino partner Alberto Lim moved into the second round of the International Tennis Federation's Asian Closed Junior Championships in New Delhi yesterday, April 14.

They defeated Indian pair Adil Kalyanpur and Anurag Nenwani 6-3, 6-3 in the boys' doubles category.

Today, they will play Japanese Rio Noguchi and Daisuke Sumizawa who beat Chinese Taipei Chen Tin and Wu Tung-lin 6-2, 1-6, 12-10, also yesterday.

Earlier, No 1 seed Nam will also meet Rio Noguchi in a boys' singles match.
