VietNamNet Bridge – At the 11th session (March 21 to April 16), the National Assembly will spend 12 days (April 1-16) to consider and decide state personnel, said the NA Standing Committee’s Secretary General Nguyen Hanh Phuc.

At the last session of the 13th National Assembly, the NA will take the time to consider the reports of the President, the Government, the Prime Minister, the National Assembly, the Supreme People's Court Chief Justice, the Supreme People's Procuracy Director, and the General State Auditor on their term.

In addition, the NA will consider and pass seven bills, includingthe Law on Access to Information; the Law on Signing, Joining and Implementing International Treaties (amended); the Press Law (revised); the Law on Protection, Care and Education of Children (revised); the Pharmaceuticals Law (amended); the Value Added Tax Law and the Law on Tax Management; the Export and Import Taxes (amended).

As a rule, the term of a number of leading positions in the State and the Government is under the National Assembly's term. Accordingly, in the first session of the 14th National Assembly in July 2016, the NA will elect the 14th National Assembly Standing Committee, the NA Chairman and then the President and the Prime Minister.

The newly-elected Prime Minister will introduce his cabinet and the NA will approve.

At the 12th National Party Congress in late January 2016, the 11th Central Party Committee recommended Mr. Tran Dai Quang, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan as the President, the Prime Minister and the NA Chair, respectively.
