“NA Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung wants the NA’s TV channel to begin operational in 2013. This channel will bring trustworthy information to the public,” Mr. Dung said at a workshop on the relations between the NA and the media on March 14.

Dung said that the NA building, which is under construction, will have a separate zone for the media.

He also said that the press is a significant component to promote the national governance to be more transparent. He stressed that the media would be allowed to attend NA Standing Committee’s hearings.

Mr. Dung also said that it is the time to establish a club of congressional correspondents in Vietnam, like the model in Sweden.
