The 2018 National Drama Festival is scheduled to be held at the Army's Theatre in Tan Binh district, Ho Chi Minh City, from April 11-25.

The festival has attracted the participation of 22 art troupes, including 13 non-public troupes, which will perform 27 plays. 



The event is jointly held by the Department of Performing Arts under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Vietnam Association of Stage Artists, in collaboration with several provincial Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The festival aims to create a playground for artists to exchange experience and improve the quality of their theatrical performance, as well as meet the needs of the public.

The festival has attracted the participation of 22 art troupes, including 13 non-public troupes, which will perform 27 plays.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will award gold and silver medals for outstanding performances, artists, directors, musicians and painters. A talented young director under 35 years old will also be honoured at the festival.
