VietNamNet Bridge – Coach Phan Thanh Hung has selected 23 players for the national football team’s gathering on September 4-23 in Hanoi.

This will be the team’s third grouping in 2012. During this time, the team will play three international friendship games.

On September 9, they will go to Kuala Lumpur to compete with the host team, who are the current champion of Southeast Asia.

The team will go to Indonesia to play with the Indonesian national squad on September 15.

They will return to Vietnam to prepare for the second-leg friendly match against Indonesia in Hanoi on September 22.

Besides old faces and the return of veterans like Van Bien, Van Phong and Vu Phong, the team will have new members –midfielder Gia Tu from Ninh Binh FC and Pham Nguyen Sa from Da Nang FC.

Notably, up to six members are players of Hanoi T&T FC, coach Hung’s FC, consisting of Hong Son, Van Bien, Quoc Long, Ngoc Duy, Van Quyet and Sy Cuong.

Da Nang FC contributes four footballers: Thanh Binh, Thanh Hung, Nguyen Sa and Quoc Anh.

Coach Hung said the list is open. The coaching board will keep searching for talents for the AFF Cup later this year, the most important football event in 2012.
