Three gymnasts from the Vietnamese national team, Ha Thanh, Phuoc Hung, and Ngan Thuong, will travel to the UK on July 10 to begin training for the 2012 London Olympics.

The Olympics organizer sponsored the £25,000 cost of the training, which will take place at Bradford University.

Head of the Vietnamese gymnastics team Nguyen Kim Lan said the team is now really gearing up for the big event.

Regarding Ngan Thuong’s injury, Lan said that although she will not be fully recovered, Thuong can still perform well because it does not effect her feet.

Earlier at the FIG Artistic Gymnastics Challenge Cup in Ghent, Belgium last June, Hung bagged a gold medal in the men’s parallel bars event while Thanh took the bronze in the women’s vault.
