When Toi’s left shoulder joint was fully stiff, he came to Saint Paul Hospital, where the doctors found the reason. Through X-ray and magnetic resonance, doctors discovered many gravel in the shoulder joint, which caused pain and affected the movement. Without a quick surgery, this joint would have not been recovered.

Dr. Vuong Trung Kien, who conducted the laparoscopic surgery, said it took 3 hours to get out nearly 300 stones, with average diameter of about 10 mm each.

After the surgery, the patient can move his left shoulder joint and does not feel the pain anymore. However, he will have to experience a period of rehabilitation.
