Japan and South Korea continued to be the biggest recipients of Vietnamese workers during the period.

So far this year, the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs has carried out measures to boost the use of Vietnamese labour abroad. Vietnam and Australia signed a Memorandum of Understanding on supporting Vietnamese citizens to participate in the Australian Agriculture Visa Programme. Meanwhile, Vietnam and Thailand are drafting an agreement on labour recruitment.

The Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs recently sought government approval for providing loans with security deposits for people who work in South Korea.

Vietnam has set a goal to send 90,000 people to work abroad this year.
