VietNamNet Bridge – Nearly 7kg of suspected rhinoceros horn was discovered in the luggage of three women travelling from Bangkok to Hanoi on November 1.

Vuong Minh Thu, born in 1990, Duong Thi Thuy Hien, born in 1979, and Bui Thi Xien, born in 1966, were caught by customs officials at Noi Bai International Airport carrying six pieces of animal horn which are suspected to be from rhinoceros.

The pieces of horn were confiscated and sent for further tests.

This is the second animal horn smuggling case uncovered at Noi Bai International Airport this week, and the 7 th case so far this year.

On October 27, around 6kg of rhinoceros was discovered in the luggage of a passenger travelling from Bangkok to Hanoi.
