VietNamNet Bridge – The President has ordered the publication of two decrees approved by the meeting of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly last month.

One decree was on the code of the law system. It was aimed to create a legal basis for central-level State agencies to review and re-organise the current legal documents according to topics such as national security, insurance, social welfare policies, and post and telecommunication.

The code, to be used as a tool in legal consultation and application, was expected to help make the legal system more transparent.

The other decree contained concrete provisions on pay for appraisals and evaluations as well as for witnesses and interpreters during civil, administrative and criminal court cases.

The first decree is posted on the portal of the Ministry of Justice and the second on that of the Supreme People's Court.
