New Zealand Prime Minister John Key arrives in Viet Nam today to begin his official visit to the country from November 14 to 17 at the invitation of Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung.
The two PMs will hold talks tomorrow, which will be followed by the signing of a number of agreements.
This will be Key's second visit following his previous one in 2010. The event also marks the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries. The two sides aim to accelerate their comprehensive co-operation, especially in the fields of trade, investment, agriculture and aviation.
Leaders are also expected to discuss further co-operation and mutual support at international platforms and organisations.
