In the first half of 2021, the number of people receiving unemployment benefits through the Department's Employment Service Center was nearly 10,000, with an amount of over 140 billion VND.
The districts of Tuong Duong, Ky Son, Que Phong and Hoang Mai town have asked for rice allocation from the government to help local people. The Nghe An People's Committee will report to the Government as soon as possible to have rice to distributed to the people.
Also at the meeting, Nghe An’s Vice Chairman Le Hong Vinh reported that Nghe An brought back 826 local people from Bac Giang, the epidemic hotspot in the third outbreak. The province also organized eight flights to pick up more than 1,700 people from Ho Chi Minh City and the southern provinces and cities to go back home.
Specifically, the Provincial People's Committee organized six repatriation flights for nearly 1,300 local citizens who are people with serious diseases, long-term illnesses, pregnant women, the elderly, or people with disabilities, while Nghi Loc and Quy Chau districts held two repatriation flights for their citizens. All citizens have been sent to concentrated quarantine centers.
Vinh affirmed that the province is implementing Resolution No. 68 of the Government and Decision No. 23 of the Prime Minister on policies to support employees and employers affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
More flights to pick up people from Ho Chi Minh City to Nghe An will be deployed this week.
