The forest of Phuc Son, where the wild elephants often come to disturb locals. 


The border station of Phuc Son commune, in Anh Son district of the central province of Nghe An reported that in the afternoon of April 15, Mr. Luong Van May, 31, in Tuong Duong district, Nghe An province, was hired to work on the field in Khe Ray forest of Phuc Son province. While working there, he met a herd of wild elephants.

Although the man tried to run, he was felled by the elephants. After chasing the wild elephants, people took him to the hospital but the man died.

Phuc Son is a border commune in the buffer zone of the Pu Mat National Forest. There are 5-6 flocks of elephants living in this forest. They frequently come to the commune to find salt and food. This herd of elephants previously killed and injured several local people.
