Chu Dinh Nghiem will replace Pham Minh Duc to coach the Ha Noi T&T team of the national premier league, the club’s leaders announced yesterday, March 17.

Nghiem, former footballer for Nam Dinh, has been working for T&T for many years. He was personal assistant to the former coach Phan Thanh Hung, who left the team for Quang Ninh Coal.

The team currently only has one point after four rounds to rank 13th out of 14 teams. This is a bad result for the team who finished second in the league last year.

Nghiem’s task is to propel the team back into the event’s leading group.

Coach Pham Nhu Thuan has said goodbye to V.League 1’s Quang Ninh Coal team after nearly one year of training.

Thuan explained that he needed time for his family.

Under the guidance of former national footballer Thuan, dark horse Quang Ninh finished fourth at the 2015 national premier league.

At this year’s event, the team temporarily ranked ninth with only four points after four rounds.
