Actress and film producer Truong Ngoc Anh has received an invitation to serve on the jury of the 58th Asia-Pacific Film Festival set to run from August 30 to September 2 in Taipei (Taiwan).

As scheduled, actress Ngoc Anh will fly to Taiwan to join the jury and participate in sideline activities of the film festival.
The organizers of the Asia-Pacific Film Festival highly appreciated Ngoc Anh’s experience and prestige for her role as an actress and film producer in Vietnam. She has also worked with Hollywood film producers and others from nations whose film industries have a global reach.
Therefore, the organizing board expressed their belief that with her own valuable experience, Ngoc Anh will bring deeper knowledge of the international film industry to the panel of judges as they seekto honour outstanding individuals and works.
Ngoc Anh said she was glad to be invited to judge the prestigious festival, noting that there are a wide variety of films at the festival from China, the Republic of Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, and the Philippines.
She emphasized that the jury will provide their assessments of the films on the festival website and comment on the nominations. Vietnam has sent five films to the festival and received considerable attention from the judges.
“Dao cuadanngu cu” (The Way Station) by director Hong Anh has received important nominations at this year’s festival. Director Hong Anh and actress Ngoc Thanh Tam will also take part in the event.
The awards ceremony is set to take place on September 1.
