The Department of Performing Arts has given permission for Vietnamese beauty Nguyen Thi Ngoc Huyen to compete at the Miss Model of the World 2018 model contest.

First runner up of Miss Sea Vietnam Global 2018 Ngoc Huyen

Huyen stands at 1.75 meters tall and measures 83-60-92. She is a third-year student at Thang Long University in Hanoi.

In April, she won the Miss Body sub-award and achieved the first runner up title at Miss Sea Vietnam Global 2018.

The Vietnamese representative said this will be her first time travelling abroad to compete at an international pageant. She will try her utmost to gain the best results and hope to receive huge support from Vietnamese fans.

The grand finale of Miss Model of the World 2018 will be held in Shenzhen, China, on November 18.

Vietnam have sent several representatives to compete at the previous beauty pageants, including Lan Khue, Ngoc Thach, Nguyen Ngoc Lan Huong, and Do Trinh Quynh Nhu.

Notably, Lan Huong became the fourth runner-up of Miss Model of the World 2009, which is the highest result of Vietnam in the beauty pageant to date.
