The "Fourteen" exhibition showcased a diverse array of artistic styles, ranging from impressionism to realism, expressionism to abstraction, and classical to modern. Each artist presented their unique perspective on the world, resulting in a rich tapestry of artistic expression.
Among the featured artists, Nguyen Hong Tuan, born in the 1970s, stood out with his collection of quick, live nude sketches, introduced to the public for the first time. Despite his long career in the art world, Nguyen Hong Tuan has maintained a low profile until now. His pieces are characterized by a bold and free-spirited drawing technique, capturing the simplicity and emotion of the human form.
Nguyen Hong Tuan shared his approach to drawing nudes: “I pour all my emotions into my work. Live drawing reveals strong emotions. Instead of keeping them to myself, I share them with everyone, aiming to co-create the artwork with the audience. Through these sketches, I want to depict the muscle movements and graceful forms of women.”
He further explained that if one were to standardize the proportions of the body, only a few women would see themselves in that ideal. However, in his artwork, women of all ages, sizes, and shapes can find their reflection.
“This is my way of connecting with the audience to collectively build the artwork from each person’s perspective,” said Nguyen Hong Tuan.
The exhibition runs until July 28th, inviting art enthusiasts to explore and appreciate the diverse styles and stories conveyed through the artists' works.
