Themed “HCMC, Peace, Integration and Development,” the flower street will last eight days from February 5 (the 27th of the twelfth lunar month) to February 12 (the 5th of the first lunar month), one day longer than in the previous years.
The event will feature flowers of different types in blossom on the entire 720-meter-long street of Nguyen Hue, from the Ho Chi Minh Statue in front of the City Hall to the intersection with Ton Duc Thang Street by the Saigon River. Lotus ponds and paddy fields of the previous editions will be replaced by gardens of flowers with wooden benches and fences.
Besides, environmentally-friendly materials like rattan and bamboo, and recycled materials will be used to enliven miniatures and the whole flower street. Organizers will put benches along the street for visitors to rest.
Apricot blossoms will be the main flower used to decorate the square of Ho Chi Minh Statue. There will be around 36 large pots of apricot blossoms in the area during the 13th Nguyen Hue Flower Street.
The event will be organized by the city government and Saigontourist, in cooperation with Van Thinh Phat Co, Times Square Vietnam Investment Co, PepsiCo Vietnam, Imex Pan-Pacific, Vietcombank, Saigon Peninsula Co, Windsor, Binh Quoi Tourist Village, Phuthotourist, and Dam Sen Cultural Park.
