Co Gai Den Tu Hom Qua (Girl from Yesterday), a novel by best-sellering author Nguyen Nhat Anh, will be adapted for film in a project by CJ Entertainment Company.

Director Phan Gia Nhat Linh, who gained success recently with the film Em La Ba Noi Cua Anh (Sweet 20s) will work on this film project.

The novel which tells a romantic story of innocent love between adolescents, has been added to the curriculum of all Vietnamese language faculties at Russian universities.

The book has sold 200,000 copies since its debut in 1990.

The film project will start in August and come to the box office next year.

Another novel written by Anh, Yellow Flowers on the Green Grass, was adapted to the cinema by director Victor Vu. The film was a big success at the 2015 Golden Kite Awards, and picked up the 2015 Golden Lotus and Best Feature Film award at the Silk Road International Film Festival in Fujian, China.
