He said that in the last ten years, when the Pseudo-Mordernism trend appeared, many art works are only perfect with the participation of the audiences, especially in performance art. This art methodology has been used popularly in installation, visual and performance art.
In his upcoming workshop in HCM City, Binh will introduce other music concepts like minimalism, non-traditional and non-conventional styles. He hoped that the workshop will attract young artists and music students.
In the US, Binh’s workshops were held in specialized rooms where he did not have to use amplifiers. “My show in Vietnam will take place at a night club, so I will have to use amplifiers. In addition, this is a new form of show in Vietnam, so if the audiences are not enthusiastic to question, I will play guitar,” he said.
The artist said he was happy that his friends in Vietnam have helped him organize this show. Binh took a group of foreign artists to Vietnam in 2007 to perform at Hanoi’s Tuoi Tre Theatre.
