Last year, Dan attracted a lot of publicity when he held an exhibition with his own painting style that he named non-cubism. His paintings attract viewers with lines of colors weaving together and forming into structures which are able to create profound and lurid feelings.
This time, he comes back with multicolor non-cubism which Dan uses nylon tubes to make endless color seamless cords as tangled reels which depict vehicles, portraits or daily images. Refusing to comply with the rules of an array of pieces and shapes, his works are impressive by using visual color mix of colorful and liberal chords which seem never-ending and interlace together, creating a strong visual effect for viewers and causing amazing color effects.
Visitors will sense ending color strings like endless emotion and inspiration of the artists. Not only for the personal aesthetic attempt, multicolor non-cubism is also considered as his research in delving into analysis of all aspects of multi-emotional aesthetics and leading to the whole logic of art.
The exhibition will run until May 30 at the museum, 97A Pho Duc Chinh Street in District 1.
