VietNamNet Bridge - Along with the ancient capital city of Hue, Nha Trang City in the central province of Khanh Hoa were voted by international tourists on TripAdvisor website as a destination should not to be missed in 2016.

In the poll in 2015 on TripAdvisor, Nha Trang and Hue of Vietnam were among 10 cities in the world voted by worldwide travelers as the top newly emerging destinations in Asia, with more than 100,000 visitors sharing their comments on the website.

The eight other cities include New Delhi, Bangalore (India); Khao Lak, Karon (Thailand); Colombo (Sri Lanka); Sanur (Bali); Yerevan (Armenia); and Phnom Penh (Cambodia).

This award was represented to Nha Trang by a representative of TripAdvisor on March 14.

Nguyen Dac Tai - Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Province - said, in 2015 Nha Trang welcomed more than 4.1 million visitors, up 16% year on year, including approximately 974,000 international visitors. The total revenue is estimated at VND7,000 billion ($311 million), up by 16.8%.

Nha Trang city stretches along the coast, surrounded by high mountain ranges of about 700-900m to the west. It is compared to "paradise of sea and islands" with sheltered bays, favorable for the development of all kind of tourism.

The bay of Nha Trang is recognized by the Ministry of Culture - Sports - Tourism as a national heritage site. It was also voted as one of the 29 most beautiful bays in the world.

TripAdvisor is a travel site that was launched in 2000 in the US. Currently, this site has 1 million votes each year, 350 million customers each month, 250 million viewers every day.
