According to the Chair of the National Assembly Deputy Affairs Committee – Mrs.Nguyen Thi Nuong, the personnel task would be included the dismissal of Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan, as Nhan has been appointed the Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. The Congress will also elect the Deputy Chair of the National Council and Deputy Chairs of some committees of the National Assembly.

The personnel task, Nuong said, should be discussed in at least one and a half day. However, NA Vice President Huynh Ngoc Son proposed to shorten to one day though this session will last in 44 days - the longest one in the tenure.

According to the Chairman Nguyen Hanh Phuc of the Office of the National Assembly, in this session, the Congress is expected to take four days to consider and approve the amended constitution.

National Assembly Vice Chair Tong Thi Phong suggested the deputies to not arrange overseas business trips during this time.

In addition to the question and answer session on 2.5 days as usual, the Congress will spend half a day listening to and discussing a number of reports of ministers, considering the reports on the results of implementation of the Resolution on adjustment of administrative boundaries of Hanoi and some provinces concerned.

The Congress will also consider the reports on the implementation of the overall scheme to restructure the economy. This is an important basis for determining the orientation of socio- economic development in 2014 and 2015 of Vietnam.

The year-end NA session will open on October 21 and close on December 31.
