The event, scheduled for October 1-2, 2024, will be held at the Hoa Lac High-Tech Park in Hanoi. This two-day event aims to bring together and honor participants of the Vietnamese innovation ecosystem, with the National Innovation Center (NIC), under the Ministry of Planning and Investment, playing a pivotal role.

In conjunction with Vietnam Innovation Day, the Ministry of Planning and Investment will also host a ceremony celebrating the 5th anniversary of the National Innovation Center. The event will be attended by government leaders, central and local agencies, international organizations, and both domestic and international technology corporations.

Established on October 2, 2019, through Decision No. 1269/QD-TTg by the Prime Minister, NIC aims to support and develop the Vietnamese innovation ecosystem, contributing to the transformation of the growth model based on science and technology development.

Over its five years of operation, NIC has progressively demonstrated its value by helping to build a domestic innovation ecosystem.

Vietnam Innovation Day 2024 is anticipated to attract 20,000 visitors. During the event, Mr. Nick Clegg, Chairman of Global Affairs at Meta, will announce Meta's long-term commitments to the Vietnamese market. Leaders from other major technology corporations, including Qualcomm and NVIDIA, are also expected to attend.

The event will feature exhibitions showcasing groundbreaking products, services, and technologies in areas such as AI, semiconductor industries, and green energy (batteries, electric power, electric vehicles, and hybrid vehicles).

Additionally, conferences and forums with esteemed speakers from both domestic and international backgrounds will highlight the latest technology trends, particularly in AI and semiconductors. It will also provide opportunities for startups, businesses, and investors to network and collaborate.

According to Mr. Vu Quoc Huy, Director of the National Innovation Center, the event aims to promote Vietnam's aspirations for innovation, and demonstrate the Vietnamese Government’s strong commitment to fostering innovation.

Vietnam Innovation Day 2024 will highlight Vietnam's potential and advantages as a regional innovation hub.
