In addition to day tours the Hoi An People’s Committee has also started day and night tours to Cu Lao Cham Island every Saturday, which have proven to be popular.
The trips include a visit to attractive sites such as the island’s sea conservation area and Hai Tang Pagoda and looking at colorful fish and coral reefs. Tourist can also see local people making fish nets and hammocks.
At night the tour takes in special artistic performances, folk games, a camp fire on the beach, and stays in local people’s homes or in tents on the beach.
Located 15 kilometers from Cua Dai Beach in Hoi An, Cu Lao Cham, a string of eight small islands with a total population of about 3,000, is a UNESCO-recognized Biosphere Reserve.
