According to the Ministry of Health, by 6 am, February 3, there were 9 additional cases of Covid-19 in the community in the 4 provinces: Gia Lai (4), Hai Duong (2), Binh Duong (2) and Hanoi (1).
The new case in Hanoi - patient No. 1883 - was F1 of patient 1814, who was related to the Covid-19 hotspot in Chi Linh city, Hai Duong province.
In Hai Duong, the two news cases – 1884 and 1885 - are workers in Chi Linh city, who have been under quarantine, with no risk of infection to the community.
The southern province of Binh Duong reported two cases – 1886 and 1887. Both were F1 of patients 1843 and 1801, with relation to the Covid-19 outbreak in Chi Linh city.
The Central Highlands province of Gia Lai had 4 cases (1888-1891). Three of them were F1 who are related to the epidemic outbreak at POYUN company in Chi Linh and the last case is now under epidemiological investigation.

The country has recorded 1,891 SARS-CoV-2 infections so far. Of the total, 1,003 were locally-transmitted cases, including 310 linked to Hai Duong since the latest coronavirus outbreak hit the province on January 27.
According to the Treatment Sub-committee under National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, 1,461 COVID-19 patients have recovered. Among the patients still under treatment, three have tested negative for the virus one, seven twice, and two thrice. Thirty- five died from complications related to the disease.
There are 27,714 people who had close contact with confirmed cases or coming from the pandemic-hit regions under quarantine at present.

Thirty one cases of COVID-19 were reported in the past 12 hours to 6pm on February 2, with only one imported, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.
