1. Jurassic Park 3D

To celebrate 20 years of success of “Jurassic Park”, Universal decided to release the film in 3D format in the first days of June. With the change of technology, the new version will bring to the audience the look and the feel of “Jurassic Park” that director Steven Spielberg recognized in his subconscious when he made this film in the past. The giant dinosaurs will appear on the screen in a more honest way.

"We hope that the audience will enjoy Jurassic Park with joy and delight as more than 700 members of the film crew who were diligent to edit the film. To the members who have and will love our movie: We are eagerly waiting for the moment when you hear the epic of John Williams which will bring all back to the original starting line," Spielberg said.

2. After Earth

This is the blockbuster of Will Smith and his son Jaden Smith. With $160 million budget, the film marks the second collaboration between father and son after “The Pursuit of Happiness” in 2006. The movie takes place in the future, 1,000 years after humans left the Earth to another planet owing to a deluge.

The main characters are the father and son Cypher and Kitai. When their spaceship fell to the Earth during the mission, only the father and son survived on Earth - the planet which became a dangerous place. Cypher was seriously injured. He had to stay in the spacecraft and guided Kitai to go out to take some key equipment of the ship to return home. The boy Kitai had to fight against the animals which evolved in the extremely harsh environment on Earth...

3. Thoongsook 13

In June, Vietnamese audience will have the opportunity to enjoy recent hits of Thai cinema. Thoongsook 13 is a horror movie about Thoongsook, a shy young man who was often teased by friends. The holiday came, a group of young people organized a tour to a deserted island in the middle of the lake and Thoongsok was not invited to although his close friend – a girl named Nam – tried to persuade others. However, when the group arrived at the island, the shy boy appeared mysteriously.

The trip became a terrifying nightmare on Monday night, as well as Friday the 13th. That night, Jack, Boy and Beam decided to lock Thongsook in a closet in a shrine on the island. 4. Man of Steel 3D

With budget of $175 million and the participation of the two big names - Christopher Nolan in the role of producer and Zack Snyder as the director, “Man of Steel” is one of the most awaited blockbusters this year. This work will revive superhero Superman.

“Man of Steel” tells the story of a young boy who found himself with a supernatural power which comes from outside the Earth. When he became a teenager, he decided to explore the place where he came from and the purpose of his presence on this planet. But the superhero inside him was forced to appear if he wanted to save the world from destruction. Superman Clark Kent became a symbol of hope for humanity. Emerging British actor, Henry Cavill, played superman.

5. Biet Chet Lien 3D

Directed by Le Bao Trung, this is the second Vietnamese movie in 3D format after “Bong Ma Hoc Duong” (School Ghost) in 2011. The movie is starred by many young faces such as Angela Phuong Trinh, Son Ngoc Minh, Lily Luta and model Trang Tran.

The film synopsis has not been revealed. It is touted as a mix between comedy and horror. Both director Le Bao Trung and the film crew only said: "Just go to theaters and see it."

6. World War Z 3D

Adapted from the novel of the same name published in late 2006 by writer Max Brooks, “World War Z” is about the story of Gerry Lane (Brad Pitt), a UN staff travelling around the world to seek way to protect the world, while men were gradually transformed into bloodthirsty creatures and trampled each other to survive.

“World War Z” was kicked off in the summer of 2007 in Malta. With great funding, the movie was filmed in many famous places in England, Scotland, Hungary, and the USA.

When Paramount released the first trailer of “World War Z” at the end of last year, fans were really overwhelmed and excited about the voyeuristic images revealed in the clip of over two minutes. Only a week later, “World War Z” trailer had up to 11 million viewers and the audience expressed their expectations for the return of Brad Pitt in this action movie.

7. Pee Mak

Pee Mak is the film with the biggest revenue in the history of the film country of Thailand, with nearly 570 million baht (about $20 million). Adapted from the famous ghost story of Mae Nak Phra Khanong in Thai folk, the film set in the early Kingdom of Siam, when the Thai youth were forced to join the army. Mak (Mario Maurer) had to leave his pregnant wife to go to the battlefield. During his time in the army, he met and became friends with four comrades - Ter, Puak, Shin and Aey.

The war ended, Mak invited the four friends to visit his home in the village of Phra Khanong. Back home, Mak introduced to the group his beautiful wife named Nak and his newborn son named Dang. Ter, Puak, Shin and Aey decided to stay here for a while, in an old house across the river. The next day, Mak was surprised when the villagers rumored that his wife had died in childbirth. The four friends of Mak hardly noticed it because the news was transformed by Auntie Priak, the owner of a pub in the village.

However, the body of Priak was discovered floating on the river a few days later, which made Ter, Puak, Shin and Aey begin to suspect that Nak and the child had died and became ghosts….

8. Now You See Me

It tells about a group of super magicians who used their talents to take money of the ringleaders of illegal business affairs and distribute money to the public in magic shows. An elite FBI team was set up for investigation and the cat and mouse game began…

9. The Great Gatsby 3D

The last movie of June is “The Great Gatsby” by Luhrmann Bar, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan. Based on the novel that is considered one of the greatest literary masterpieces of the 20th century by F. Fitzgerard Scott, “The Great Gatsby” had a budget of up to $105 million and it was released at the International Cannes Film Festival in May.

The film is the perspective of young writer Nick Carraway on the lavish and frivolous life of millionaire Jay Gatsby in the 1920s. Nick was attracted into the vortex of Gatsby. However, through the cracks in the richness of Gatsby, Nick felt an obsession, madness and tragedy awaiting the young millionaire.
